ALL OUR DREAMS COME TRUE (2016)
CREATED WITH JO LLOYD
All Our Dreams Come True is a work created in collaboration with Jo Lloyd and shown at Bus Projects throughout October and November 2016.
We proposed an exhibition of live performances, with components of the performance remaining in the gallery. Working with the investigation of how performance can materialise as expected or hoped, we replaced familiar performance preparation and execution with new parameters. Our concern is in how organisation contributes to the choreography that takes place. Focussing on the aims of live performance to happen as predicted - realised, fulfilled or unfulfilled with the help of an audience.
An extension of our previous work together, Project Blah Blah, (Hong Kong 2011), All Our Dreams Come True examines two bodies and the space they inhabit, always together and separate. A driving premise for the work; I am not you, you are not me, revealed live proposals and negotiations between both performers and the
audience/ the viewer. Through observation, what knowledge is exchanged? How does one affect the other and the affect this has on those watching?
